There is a news that (not sure how reliable it is) Yusafali wanted to take 3 floors in Tejomaya. But can't understand how is that possible since its already occupied completely. What I heard is he even ready to take the complete building from LnT. Not sure what the plan is .. check to see if someone close to Yusafali in this forum can find it out.

I wouldnt say that the growth has been 0%..rather our Gijo Joseph did nothing to help infopark get more business.. Brigade.TCS,Cognizant were the key things that started during his tenure but he by no means can take credit for it as they themselves were keen to have the campus in Kochi.

Speed of the works done for IP Phase II building and Current Condition of the Infopark Campus is a perfect snapshot of Gijos performance.

No. How can that be possible. In a socialist democracy only the government or the party can own anything. Be it TV channel, Water theme park or properties at city centres.

I don't whether he brought it or not..... As of now, they are haven't entered into realty business anywhere..... IT Development is indeed a realty business and without a good experience, I doubt whether he will venture into it....

I feel, he might have brought 3 or 4 floors of L&T bldg, to start his IT College unit. He is into IT Training- Syscom and probably he might plan to start it, rather than venturing into realty business as of now

Theres word going around that L&T is selling a few assets and thejomaya is one of them. Dunno about the present status....but Yusuf Alis folks did have a look.

Government hands over ITES habitat centre to Infopark

The state government has handed over the management of ITES habitat centre, currently under the state IT mission, to Infopark. The formal handing over will be done after completion of certain formalities.

The centre, which operates from the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium complex, was set up in 2003 to enhance the English language skills of students to meet the demands of the IT industry. The centre was turned into a facility for start-ups and IT entrepreneurs in 2007, and provided basic infrastructure facilities at nominal costs.

The decision to handover the facility was taken after finding that it has more synergy with Infopark than the IT Mission.

The 14,763 sq ft centre, which is a self-sustaining entity, houses 64 IT and ITES start-ups and employs over 400 people. The centre is planning to expand its capacity to house 24 more start-ups and employ over 100 people. The centre allocates cubicles ranging from 100 sq ft to 700 sq ft to start-ups.

As per the government order, the companies will be allowed to continue in the centre till the expiry of the contract and Infopark is empowered to decide on the renewal of the agreement after that. All assets of the centre and security deposit made by the start-ups will be transferred to the Infopark. Infopark will soon enter a fresh agreement with the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA), which owns the stadium complex.
