Is it just me or has the glass changed? Looks like almost a stripe pattern.

Yes, the glass has changed, you can see it clearly in my photo on the previous page (quoted below). Visible on on some renders, looks like there will be four levels of this glass, a gap in the facade, then four more levels of this glass before going back to the original glass.

Looks like the bulk of services are in 40 and 41. Maybe they've set everything up in there already, despite being under construction. Seems quick, but I really don't know.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. There has always been a sort of striped pattern as in your close up pic. You're not referring to the white stripes are you? because they have always been changing in their spacing.

The black and blue vertical stripes visible in the top 2 levels of glazing

I did notice that a bit but thought it was probably due to light

Quite a long time back now and after a long time of not seeing this thing close up in actual reality, I was going to have a look at it in Margaret Street and I happened to look up over the Port office Hotel, from that very same spot.

I nearly shait myself. It was like this huge dinosaur about to gobble me up.

If you look at the renders of the building they have always indicated a striped effect with the glass panels 3 or 4 floors above and below the pool and recreation floors. You will also notice the front pillar on the pool and recreation floors is thinner than the rest of the other floors as well.

And we're only half way right?
