One insanely long bench along the West Concourse below the LED panels...

That was the plan...but dropped due to costs/recession, I suppose.

They also need to connect the PATH Concourse with the Performing Arts Center.

Does anyone know when the R Train remaining connections will open, along with the last connection to "E" Train?

There are still two platform level connections on the downtown R/W platform to open, and the accessible connection from the E fare control area to the T2 entrance to open. No signs of work being performed on either.

There are also a number of smaller items to be finished in the PATH area, including flooring at the south end of the PATH hall that is still plywood and plywood on the walls where the Ticket Vending Machines are, once again with no signs of work on either.

At least all 4 platforms are open as of this week.

One disappointing design element in the PATH hall is no electronic signs.
Since the station has 4 platforms and 2 services, this means ugly temporary-looking signage directing people to the right platform and alerting to issues.

The PATH platforms have monitors that give status updates on the platforms that alert people to issues that impact train service, but none elsewhere in the station.

Get ready for the chain link fences topped with barbed wire to be placed on the railings to ensure now one climbs them and falls off. A hat is never worth reaching over a 40 foot drop!

According to the Downtown Alliance quarterly report, the entrance will open closer to the end of this year. Also, the entrance to the 1 train will not be opening until the middle of next year. Which is strange because they've taken down signage from the entrance to reveal the new glass doors. Oh well, every thing takes 1,000 years to finish here.
