To be honest those renders are far from 'nice'.

I wouldn't say Manchester is a clear winner. Only 10m difference between de highest towers. But what ever comes below that Frankfurt wins by a noticeable margin. Besides the big projects in frankfut will start summer 2017.
DB dreieck:

And some smaller towers around 100-150 meters.

You have missed two towers in Manchester which are U/C and the fact that more will come this year too.

I am not sure if there is clear winner here, especially at current moment.

Again, we are comparing Frankfurt to Manchester which is much better comparison than trying to compare London to Frankfurt which are in different leagues.

Frankfurt completely outclasses Manchester in every aspects, even if there were 20 Towers UC at this Moment in Manchester the City would still be lightyears behind Frankfurt.

Skylinewise Frankfurt is on the same Level as the largest European Citys.

Manchester is probably better at football. Anyways Manchester is better compared to cities like Leipzig or Essen. Yea i think Essen is pretty similar.

Education, art, entertaiment, shopping, sport... the only few things Frankfurt is better now are hotels, but Manchester is catching up pretty fast with more than 1000 rooms U/C and airport, again this is changing rapidly.

Come on, Frankfurt is classified as an alpha global/world city, in one league with cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Moscow...
Manchester is a beta global/world city, in one league with cities such as Stuttgart, Oslo, Vancouver, Auckland...

If you aren't aware of the global/world city ranking: It ranks cities by their economic, political and cultural clout:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_city

Now, don't be upset. Manchester might not be in a league with Frankfurt but London is actually next to New York the only alpha ++ city in the world.

Of course I aware about this ranking, I am here since 2004

However that ranking is now about 3 years old and base for that rating is more that 12 years old and Manchester just started to appear on various rankings. It's also started to outperform Frankfurt on few: http://www.jll.co.uk/united-kingdom/...Top12-2016.pdf

This actually shows things happening right now, not in the past and not in the future.
