Looks impressive, but disappointed to learn that it is downriver from downtown.

This is certainly a welcomed surprise that I didn't see coming. I cannot wait to see the SOM design for this proposal. I'm also hoping this is a little taller than 30 stories since this it such a visible site right on the roundabout.

I'm curious to see how this proposal will affect Emery's office tower at the former convention center. If this and the former convention center office tower get underway, that will be four new office towers for downtown Nashville.

My big ? is the lot fronting KVB east of 7th. Without that parcel, the 7th Ave stub must remain to allow access. Mainland was in contact with the property owner and he was cooperating with Mainland; but for no apparent reason, Mainland stopped pursuing that parcel. Mainland owns both sides of the 7th Ave stub, except that parcel fronting KVB east of 7th. If Mainland had that last parcel, the 7th Ave stub could be removed and the land deeded to Mainland

Avison Young has signed on to this project ..... AND signed off the 5th and Broadway (Emery) project. On the outside, that appears bad for 5th and Broadway; however, all sources connected to both projects seems to indicate this is a positive for both projects

Nashville badly needs this office space in the heart of downtown. Hope both projects are a go. Two 30 story office towers opening in ~2020 would really help with the shortage of office space

It's unbelievable how much Nashville, Tennessee is growing these days. I have been living here for almost two years. When I moved here to Tennessee. Building's like Westin Hotel, Sobro, The Church St 505 building U/C where not even built yet. I am so amazed how well they organize and plan their city. Give it 10 more years and we will see Metro Nashville grow to 3 million. If this is the case they should start considerating a light rail system at least from Murfreesboro over to Downtown. Traffic into Nashville from the south is crazy in the morning.

PSC Metals loses ruling against East Nashville scrapyard landowners

The days for the scrapyard may finally be numbered. 19.5 of the ~50 acres have been in dispute for 2+ years regarding the lease price. The owners raised the amount (a lot) and PSC sued. PSC has lost, but it will be another 6-12 months before a jury decides what will be considered fair market value as a basis for establishing lease rates. The current lease is for 10 years, beginning from 2014.

It would be wonderful if the owners would not renew their lease ....... just sayin' ..........
