It's a reasonable size at the bottom, getting quite small at halfway up and no room to swing a cat when you get near the top. What's the point of that?
Oh I know, to provide exclusive luxury apartments for the uber rich! Great stuff

Excuse me while I'm bored to death.

That's perfectly understandable...you don't come across as somebody with an actual attention span.

If you don't care why reply? You strike me as the kind of juvenile mind which can't tolerate a different opinion than your own, so I think you very much do care.
And who is "we"? Do you speak for others as well as yourself?

A classic pointed English woman, this tower is. Very befitting.

Trying to defuse the political discussion...

Reminds me of John Cleeses' (MPFC) description of Mt Kilimanjaro. "It's quite steep 'til you get to the very top, then it tends to dip away quite sharply".

You are entitled to disagree with my opinion, just as I am to give it which I've done.
I didn't realise that this thread was for complimentary opinions only.

Most likely. I think the shard has bags more character than the ever mindless supertalls of China and Dubai (with exceptions of course)

It's obvious that comment was made to stir up an argument.

A simple 'I don't like it' or 'I feel they could have been more creative' would have sufficed. Constructive criticism is one thing, but your comment was just trolling. Having said that, I'm sure if we were to have a vote, 99% of people would agree that this thread in particular should be for complimentary opinions only: what is there not to like about the Shard? If the worst accusation you can level at it is that it is 'overrated' and 'characterless' it can't be that bad. That's not even dislike, just indifference, something which by its nature is supposed to be silent.

I think not, my original criticism of this building gave my reasons as to why I don't like it.

"Having said that, I'm sure if we were to have a vote, 99% of people would agree that this thread in particular should be for complimentary opinions only:"

That may well be your position, I prefer to hear peoples honest opinions myself. Whether complimentary or otherwise.

"If the worst accusation you can level at it is that it is 'overrated' and 'characterless' it can't be that bad. That's not even dislike, just indifference, something which by its nature is supposed to be silent. "

Perhaps you should actually read what I wrote before passing comment on it.
