All that I know anyway according to what I've read is that the players (and also several TOP 14 managers) have asked that only the scores/statistics/etc to be broadcasted on the main huge screen, and not the video replays, etc...in order indeed to not be disturbed during the games.

Apparently around 15K people are expected to attend the very first Basketball game (Nanterre 92 vs ASVEL-Lyon) played at U Arena next March, this would be the France attendance record for a Pro A Basketball regular-season game (and also BTW the France attendance record for an indoor sport domestic game).

^ I am tempted. If I had more time and could be bothered, I would probably take up Nanterre as my local basketball team...

I gave a miss to the first Racing match here due to the much more expensive ticket prices, I wonder if it was just for the opening or will they keep them up like that? I would find it quite ambitious, if the latter.

EDIT: and here's my answer, the tickets for the match against Clermont on January 7: https://billetterie.uarena.com/meeti...892gLfqXCkZpe4

Not that bad, those 10 euro seats with a good view of the touchline are decent value IMO.

Very cool! Is Basketball popular in France? Tony Parker and Rudy Gobert are of course NBA stars (a little long in the tooth in Parker's case!) but is there a widespread interest in the sport?

Well, yes it is! (I mean, our domestic league/championship (LNB, etc), is one of the oldest in the world ).... but not that brilliant in terms of average attendance, knowing that numerous of our pro teams are located in medium-sized (if not small) cities/towns.

BONUS (just for you aquamaroon ):

I was there for Racing 92 - Stade Toulousain this night !!!
What a masterpiece ! That stadium is a jewel. The site is wonderful ( La Défense towers ), and all is perfect. Perfect.
