worzil has given us an overview of the Queens Place site, as Melbourne's latest 250m tower gets under way. In the 2nd shot, the blokes in yellow jackets, on the site boundary, are completing an archeological dig.

Good God whoever approved that should be forced to clad the whole thing by hand.
I still really don't get how these blank walls manage to get through the planning stages.

The other side is kind-of good, this back-side IS awful.

This blank wall sticks out like monkey b*lls. An attached tower better be built on that side. Shocker.

Even if there is the intent to have a future development block the concrete side of the building, the developer should be forced to commission a giant art-work on the blank wall in the mean time.
