You got a point there. At least it will stop some nonsense talks from the trolls and when it is really getting ready (the building), the trolls will shut up. So yeah, close/deactivate/put the thread on hold until the construction comes back on in full swing.

Putting it on hold in a forum doesn't affect the project either. If the project is still active then it shouldn't be put on hold just because there are some trolls calling for it. Who are they to make that decision? The moderators should be doing their job to limit these trolls.

It's not about the project. It's about to repeatedly go through pages of annoying tu-tu-main-main kind of posts and nasty comments.

Then don't visit the thread in the International forum. Anything useful posted there is posted here first anyway. Have self control.

lol. Yeah that's great advice.

A better definition of "self control" would be if people stopped responding to every stupid comment. But that would be asking for too much.

Indeed, I don't disagree with that. However, if a thread is annoying you then why click on it?

I'm not sure if we should keep saying things like "construction will pick up speed after the monsoon", because if the project does really die it will be extra embarrassing

Why would it be embarassing? Perhaps it would be embarassing to those who keep claiming things without any solid proof. For the rest of us, it may be disappointing but certainly not embarassing.

Thanks to Soroban for posting this the International thread first -

GEDA goes to India

Quote:
In recent years, India has become one of the largest markets on the planet and will develop further over the next few decades as a market of the future. Due to the highly favourable medium- and long-term prospects for growth in India, GEDA expects there to be good export opportunities in the coming years.

Since 2010 there has been a cooperation with the Mumbai-based company Ispat Infrastructure India (Pvt) Ltd, which is now responsible for the sale of GEDA products and the associated service in India. The appearance at the bC India trade fair was planned and implemented in collaboration with Ispat.

GEDA was represented by an information stall in the indoor area of the fair as part of the German Pavilion – an official participation of the Federal Republic of Germany in the bC India trade fair. In addition, various different hoists from GEDA's extensive product range were presented in a 100 m² open-air exhibition space. Besides the established GEDA rope hoists, the products presented also included a GEDA suspended working platform, the GEDA crane operator hoist, a GEDA transport platform and a GEDA personnel and material hoist. The GEDA Lift in particular was a magnet for visitors and was able to win them over with its variety of possible uses.

In the future, Ispat will provide the entire range of GEDA construction hoists for the Indian market. The main focus, however, will be on personnel and material hoists with a load capacity of up to 3,200 kg, a max. lifting height of 400 m and lifting speed of up to 90 m/min.: the GEDA PH range.

Five GEDA PH 2032 Twin have already been supplied to the largest Indian construction firm, Larsen & Toubro Limited, since autumn 2010. Other machines will start out on their journey to India in spring 2011. The GEDA PH will be used at various new-build projects in Mumbai. They have a lifting height of up to 350 m.

A GEDA PH 2032 Twin has been in use since the beginning of the year at the “India Tower” construction project. With completion planned for 2016, at 720 m and with 125 storeys it will be India's tallest building. Other GEDA equipment will also be used during the construction phase.

GEDA hoists “made in Germany” enjoy a high standing in India, and the Indian market holds great potential. The Bavarian/Indian cooperation between GEDA and Ispat has laid the foundations for a successful market entry.

Good to see....That this project has some interactions, considering how quiet the developers are.
