Joburg is definitely on the up. I am especially encouraged with the work of the new Mayor and City Manager in trying to fix the basics first.

can the guavamint start a paint company who's sole aim it is to produce paint for the biggest facebrick and concrete refurb in the history of the world - at cost price. After all , they are the masters of the coverup already!

View from 12 Decades Hotel rooftop bar - in Maboneng precinct.

This whole area is jumping out of its skin now - check the maboneng website - main str life and all the art galleries and restuarants and wotnot. Looks very cool.

Imagine if it did change.

Shanghai didn't look like much even in the 90's.

Even by building one 60 plus tower would change the whole cbd skyline making it a new.

The black-and-white pic above showing Standard Bank and the Victory House is really beautiful... just a pity that the Victory House is in such a sad state
