There's no way they can sort that out? Its ridiculous situation to have 5 rows empty on one of the most important games of the season..

becasue of UEFA's requirement for distance between pitch and stand.
So at the goal stands it has to be 7,5m+ and at the sights 6m+

Watching the match I too noticed the empty rows. But the listed attendance I saw was at about 39,000 so a good number of seats were taken up (I would assume Chelsea could sell out a knockout round tie against Inter).

Inter was simply too good. The commentary with that Andy Gray was outrageous. Sucking up to his employers.

Sky should put a button on the remote that switches Andy Gray off.

Inter were the better side over the two legs.

But they were also very, very lucky in regards to penalty decisions.

Have to agree. They are bandwagon jumpers. A bunch of poseurs.
Okay, so if Chelsea are bandwagon jumpers and poseurs, and a "fake club", what clubs are "real" and don't have bandwagon jumpers?

3 tiers behind each goal to match it up and create a bowl would be possible, and feasible given Abramovic's deep pockets, howerver I beleive space issues as well as complaints from surrounding residents would put a stop to this idea.

Blues to buy back stadium shares

Mon, 03 Oct 20:36:46 2011

Chelsea have moved a step closer towards building a new stadium after making an offer to buy back the parts of Stamford Bridge sold to supporters in the 1990s.

Blues chairman Bruce Buck and chief executive Ron Gourlay have said that the club had still to decide whether to move to a new home but insisted they would not be able to do so unless they regained ownership of the pitch and stands at Stamford Bridge.

Buck and Gourlay appealed to the 12,000 CPO shareholders - most of whom are fans - to sell their 15,000 shares to the club for the price they paid for them in return for various incentives at any new stadium.

Chelsea planning for the future and possible move away from Stamford Bridge

By Jason Burt
8:00PM BST 03 Oct 2011

Although the club insist that there is nothing “active” in terms of leaving the Bridge, chairman Bruce Buck said on Monday: “We have to be prepared for a move if something right comes along for Chelsea.”

Three areas have been identified as possible sites — Earls Court, White City and, probably the most likely candidate, Nine Elms on the banks of the river Thames — although there are no discussions at present.

A fourth site, at Imperial Wharf, has already been dismissed as too small — Chelsea would need around 20 acres of land for a 60,000-capacity stadium — while developers have mentioned areas to the north at Wormwood Scrubs and Old Oak Common.

If Chelsea did move they would like then to redevelop the Stamford Bridge site for a mix of residential and commercial use to help pay for the switch, with the rest of the costs being met by bank finance and probably a contribution from owner Roman Abramovich.

I can certainly see them building a new stadium in the future, especially as Stamford Bridge would be a total nightmare to try and redevelop.

Stamford Bridge

Hello does anyone by any chance have plans - sections and elevations - of the existing four stands at Stamford Bridge? Thank you!

Ouch! Those numbers certainly put things into perspective:

Looks more likely than ever now that building a new stadium is the way forward for Chelsea.
