London 2012 | Construction Webcams

New Olympic Park cameras will give public front-row seat

London 2012 has switched on six new cameras that let the public see the work taking place to deliver the Olympic Park venues and infrastructure.

Each of the new ‘ParkCams’ take pictures regularly throughout the day. The latest images are updated automatically for all to see.

The cameras are pointing at some of the Park’s major venues currently under construction, including the Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Centre and the Olympic Village. Other cameras point to where the new Energy Centre is being built and provide a wider view of the Park.

ODA Chairman John Armitt said: ‘The Olympic Park changes every day due to the scale of regeneration taking place across the site. These new ParkCams will give the public a front row seat, making sure they don’t miss any developments as the work to build the venues and infrastructure needed for the Games and legacy accelerates.’

The cameras will show updated still images throughout the day and will be accessible via the London 2012 website -

Neat update on London 2012 webcams page. Some of the webcams now have timelines so you can see the progress and watch the venues being built in time-lapse:

e.g.

Olympic stadium close up

Aquatics Centre

any idea why the Olympic Stadium Cam 3 on the 2012 website has been taken down? I've seen for the last few days it's had a grey band over half the pic, is there something wrong with the camera, or is there something they don't want us to see??!!

Well, fear not. There's only another 10 month's wait (16, if you are waiting for the Limpicks)
