UBIQUITY TO TRIPLE ITS CYBERCENTRE SPACE

The company is adding an additional 1,200 square meter space in June and is expected to further expand into a similarly sized space in the same building before the end of the year. The planned expansion will bring the company’s total office space in the CyberCentre to nearly 4,000 square meters.

With the signing of several new clients, Ubiquity is increasing its Bacolod workforce to approximately 1,500 employees by early 2016.

“I am excited about today’s announcement and our forthcoming expansion in the Negros First CyberCentre,” said Mr. Nyren. “This expansion will provide a progressive working space for the creation of nearly 2,000 career opportunities in the region within the next year. The expansion establishes Bacolod as our company’s largest operating location in a growing global network that includes sites in Metro Manila, the United States, Latin America and Europe. We look forward to big things for the Bacolod center and our talented colleagues here in Negros Province.”

Atty. Batapa-Sigue likewise informed Marañon that TasTradeSoft, the software company is also doubling their space requirement by next month. Furthermore, the signing of four startup companies at the Technology Business Incubation Center at the fourth floor of the CeyberCentre is set next week.

MILESTONES OF NEGROS FIRST CYBER CENTER

Cyber Centre also has a second phase. This time around it will be located in Hernaez-Lacson Streets. This phase is just like the two and would also required a huge amount for completion around P180 million. At that time, the governor mentioned that when Cyber Centre becomes fully operational, it will certainly give the growth of the economy a huge boost.

*******************************

NEGROS FIRST CYBER CENTER – A PRIDE OF DYNAMIC BUILDERS AND CONSTRUCTION CO.

The Negros First Cyber Center, is a huge and imposing structure found in the corner of Hernaez-Lacson Sts. Although there are still aspects of the building that are yet to be finished, the whole of Bacolod and Negros actually looks forward to the day when the building becomes fully operational.

Several companies are set to lease the spaces in Cyber Center. It was approximated that about 5,250 individuals may be able to find a job from different companies occupying Cyber Center. As of the moment, there is already one call center firm, Ubiquity Global, that occupies a large space in Cyber Center. Aside from this, a huge Philippine bank is currently being set up in the ground floor. Several other businesses have also started occupying various spaces in the second floor.

Cyber Center is a mixed-use complex and also has 3 designed and structured floors. There are about 4-hectares that are actually unused spaces in the area and 2 hectares of which are occupied by Cyber Center. In 2011, Cyber Center was actually accredited by the PEZA.

Since the building converges at corner Hernaez-Lacson Sts, two sides of the building basically line the two streets. One is in Lacson Street, while the other is in Hernaez Street. In the corner, you will find a very nice and imposing entrance.

Aside from these grand edifices, DBCCI would also be building interior roads and parking areas, as well as other entrances that lead to the facility.

At current time, more construction is ongoing. The speed and quality by which DBCCI carries out all aspects of construction is totally great that you can expect the Cyber Center to be among the finest landmarks of the city for many years to come.

Capitol to privatize operations of CyberCentre

This was disclosed yesterday by Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr., who said the pre-bidding conference was set on September 14 at the Provincial Bids and Awards Committee office while the bidding for the joint venture operation will be conducted on October 12.

The governor said the reason for its privatization is to make it more efficient. “The government is a lousy manager,” he stressed. The CyberCentre will be efficiently run by a private operator because locators will no longer deal with the government. In other words, politicking will be avoided, the governor added.

Marañon said the provincial government will still own the building, facilities, and lot. The joint venture shall not sell any land or building in the site.

Under the project’s terms of reference, the private sector shall be tasked with operations, management, maintenance, and Phase II development of the Negros First CyberCentre.

CyberCentre phase 2 (10+18+24 mix)

http://s1325.photobucket.com/user/Mi...jzpr.jpeg.html

P1.5B joint venture inked
for CyberCentre phase 2

The provincial government of Negros Occidental and the Negros Property Management and Development Corp. signed a Joint Venture Agreement yesterday to develop Phase 2 of the Negros First CyberCenter with an estimated budget of P1.5 billion, and targeted to be completed in three to four years.

NFCC, located in the 40-hectare property of the provincial government at Lacson-Hernaez Streets, will be managed by the Negros Property Management and Development Corp., a private sector consortium. Phase 2 will be six times bigger at 135,000 sqm, and 94,500 sqm will be leased, from the 14,000 sqm of Phase 1.

Twenty percent of Phase 1 is currently occupied; and with Phase 2 under underway, the BPO-oriented CyberCentre will also include amenities, a three to four star hotel, residential facilities, commercial and retail establishments, medical services, diners, business and cultural center, as well as recreational and sports facilities.

Enriquez said the estimated P1.5 billion allotment will be for the three buildings, at P500 million each in Phase 2 but might be increased.

P1.5B joint venture inked for CyberCentre phase 2
March 19, 2016 l BY KEITH BRANDON CARI-AN

The provincial government of Negros Occidental and the Negros Property Management and Development Corp. signed a Joint Venture Agreement yesterday to develop Phase 2 of the Negros First CyberCenter with an estimated budget of P1.5 billion, and targeted to be completed in three to four years.

“The NFCC Joint Venture, Inc. promises to hire more than 20,000 employees at full operation,” Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said, “The venture leverages our assets next to the investments of the private sector — their funds, expertise, business work, marketing competencies and business management expertise among others.”

Salvador Enriquez Jr., Negros Property Management and Development Corp Chairman of the Board, said “The LGU wants to partner with the private sector to solve integrity and efficiency matters in the government.

Negros Occidental will shoulder 49 percent of the development and the private consortium 51 percent.

“This is so that the LGU will be as interested as we are, compared to the former 60-40 split. The locators also want the development to be private for easy processing,” m Enriquez said.

Enriquez, former secretary of the Department of Budget Management commended the governor for not just realizing “Matuwid na Daan”, but also pushing for inclusive growth in the province.

“This project is a great example of inclusive growth to other cities and provinces,” he said.

Marañon said that, under the venture, the provincial government will earn revenues that can be used to further the inclusive growth program in other areas and create employment for Negrenses over a period spanning at least 25 years.

“This project will be made operational during my term, but the operation and economic benefits that will bring to the Negrenses will last for decades, beyond my term and my life time,” Marañon said.*KBC
