Calicut (Kozhikode) has a low cost of living. The rates of apartments on the South Beach Road is only 1550 / sq.ft while the same kind is 2600 in Cochin. IF you have the money to live happily ever after getting a flat in Calicut is best. It has an International airport, Very near to the City center 1.5 kms to the Railway Station and Bus Station. What else can you want. West hill is a good residential area. A few softare companies are looking for places around in Kozhikode.....Real Estate is cheap. :runaway:

The skyscraper u see on the righthand side of the pic is the proposed new mini IT PARK...where many IT comp based in bangalore is goin to come...
Its not just the problem of Wayanad. Any where it can affect environment.
However its better to avoid sloppy places like that in the above picture. Wayanad is a plateau so there are plenty of areas where one can build highrise buildings safely. If Bangalore and Hyderabad in the same Deccan Plateau can have highrises then why cant Wayanad?
Hi Folks,
I heard that land acquisition for the proposed knowldge park already started. The land identified lies in Ramnattukara, but the above said tract of land is a paddy field(land filling required).Even the survey works for this got disrupted due to the opposition from the locals.Hope everything will go fine.
