Szerinted hány nap alatt lehetne megnézni Moszkvát? 10-15?

Csak olyan képeket mutass, amitől nem riadok el a pekingi vasúti utazástól

Nagyon jó képek! Várjuk a továbbiakat.

5th of June 2011, Sunday...

Short stop (15 min) at Kirov station...

Next break at Balezino for 23 min... Heavy shower...

Life on the train... We tried a different beer at every station we were allowed to get off...

Still raining... We arrived to Perm (II.)...

No, I'm not feeding the "crab"... I bought the cigarettes for m Bro'... Actually I was going for the most expensive I could find. This special, elite brand costs 3* the price of a Marlboro red... 120 Rubles to 40 Rubles... Strange, but still in HUF 910... Tobacco is pretty cheap in Russia.

Anyway, there was not much to see between the stations. Actually the landscape is pretty boring from Moscow till Irkutsk, but this does not mean we were bored! This is was far from being true! But to be honest, I would not do this trip again. Not like this. From Irkutsk till Beijing, or the other way around yes, anytime. To tell you the truth, the rest of the Trans-Siberian is not a complete waste of time, but compared to the precious time you spend on the train, you just don't get that much in return. So only do the trip all way long, if it's important for you earning the title: "I've completed the Trans-Siberian!"

More to come... Shortly...

6th of June 2011, Monday...

"Enjoy the little things..."

Ishim station, stoppage time: 12 min

Samovar on the train, in every wagon... Inexhaustible source of hot water...

Breakfast...

Omsk station... Short break for 16 min...

"Lenin lives, lived and will live" - Vladimir Mayakovsky

The scenery from our compartment...

Novosibirsk station, stoppage time: 39 min

More to come...

Well, if You have time to answer, some questions... how accurate is the train? Did it keep the schedule?

Clear, the samovar did not change, it was/is always there on the sowiet/russian trainz. But do they have a djeshurnaya (a women who is responsible for one traincar) yet?

Come on with more pics...

I have to catch up, with a tremendous amount of work, that was piled on my desk during the last three weeks, so I'm flooded at the moment... Please be patient, I'm doing my best...

About the train. To be honest, I was quite surprised about the Russian railway's condition.

The rolling stock, the infrastructure, the working staff, was and is in perfect condition. The stations (except mabye the Paveletskiy railway station) are clean, tidy, refurbished, and well equipped. Nevertheless I will never be able to get used to the Russian stiled toilets... Along the long line the passenger information system is modern (with ticket vending machines in cooperation with the largest mobile operator MTS), even on European standards, in almost every station (of course our train only stopped at major locations and junctions). RZD is way ahead of MÁV... Sad, but true. Within the realm of the RZD everything seemed well organized. Alles in ordnung! - a German would say.

I was shocked to see the number of people monitoring the condition of the track all way long.

Every car has two "djeshurnaya"-s, I will tell about them later.

Sztem kevesebb is elég.

7th of June 2011, Tuesday...

Krasnoyarsk station, stoppage time: 20 min

Check out this station's architecture as well...

Crossing the Yenisei river...

ME!

I made several photos from the only openable window of the train... It was in the restaurant car... The complete train was air-conditioned, with a set temperature of 20 Celsius...

Photos I've made during the 12 min wait at the town of Nizhneudinsk...

8th of June 2011, Wednesday...

The most interesting day of the whole Trans-Manchurian journey...

Arriving to Irkutsk, stoppage time: 30 min

Actually this was the first city, I've got what I was expecting from Russian cities... Grizzle, incoordination, poverty...

Check out the time... Don't forget, RZD operates on Moscow time...

Something came up, I've got to run... To be continued, with Lake Baikal...

A képen lévő vonat a miénk...
