No, why would they mention that? Given this huge delay since the time of the incident, nobody cares any much. They would have rather said: "we'll finish it pretty soon", so you can interpret the way you like
(JIC: all the kidding aside, every construction contract has a specified date. Without a date, it's only a pees'o'sheet).

I noticed that Sulafa Tower got their fire damaged cladding covered and made safe in a few short weeks.

They have firmly put The Torch building management to shame.

Has anyone had their tenants complain about outside construction noise? Perhaps unsurprising given what's going on in front of the building.

I was wondering if adding rubber seal strips to the windows would help reduce noise a bit. I think this was mentioned before but it would be interesting to know if anyone has done this and how well it worked on the Torch windows. I did notice before that the windows are not that well sealed when closed.

Why are you always negative about the Torch Tower? You don't even own a unit in Torch!

Let me know if you find a solution to this as my tenant is complaining about the construction noise!

You don't need to own to have an opinion of the way the place is managed. It has been a gaping burnt wound in the Marina for over a year and no one in the OA or the Management gave a shit about it. The building management that everyone raved about, are a bunch of useless wastes of space, proven when you see the difference with the reaction on Sulafa Tower. But hey, their newsletters are lovely.

If your neighbour's house was fire damaged, would you not be a bit pissed off if they let it lie in a state for months and years bringing the neighbourhood down, while they wait on a cash handout from the tardy Insurance company? The OA should have enough in the sinking/reserve fund to pay to get it covered up and made safe.

The pool has been closed for almost 2 years. Don't you think it's about time you took it out on the Management instead of having a pop at me for having a valid opinion of those amateurs?

Will do. There are plenty rubber seal strip products on the market. The primary purpose is to act as a draught/rain excluder but the noise reduction element could be a nice secondary benefit.

To really block noise you would need to replace the windows.

The objective was more noise reduction rather than elimination.
