Great! Very Fritz-Schumacher-esque! Is it one of his designs or by another expressionist architect, just restored to its original looks? Or is this brick facade a new creation? In both cases, absolutely fantastic, geil!

The entire rest of the quarter (270 Flats) is originally from 1930ies and got "modernised" during the glorious
time of the 55ies-75ies in the 20th century we all love and respect for its awesome results


Nevertheless the entire quarter was refurbished recently by the SAGA/GWG an turned back to its roots.
For the rest of the refubishment the architecture office ABJ-Architekten have been hired.
After Refurbishment in 2015. It is certainly not "spectacular", but you must always consider the low
investment volumes for (voluntary) social housing projects due to lower gains.
Its very solid and well executed imo.

PS: ABJ-Architekten also refubished the "Rindermarkthalle" in 2014/15

I absolutely love the street presence of this one! They broke up the massing of the streetwall into a number of individual facades, making it look like a number of different developments. It gives variety to the experience from street level.
