This forum seriously lacks photos and hardly any talk of public transportation. So this new thread to share photos and discuss developments with SETC, TNSRTC, and the metro and city buses, bus terminals etc
No need to worry the doors in SLFs wont be closed. In nellai I have seen the doors were welded. Earlier they were tied with rope. Great improvementWake -up call for Tamil Nadu Transport corporation
Need emergency doors for Deluxe city buses operated by Tamil Nadu Transport corporation.MTC had 3,497 buses out of 50% buses operated with doors some time these doors are locked due to some mechanical fault ,Fire accident etc on that time it is hard to rescue passengers from the bus with out Emergency exit.Trichy,Coimbatore,Tirunelveli,Maduri divisions also operated deluxe buses in city routes.Govt ordered to fix Emergency exit in recently inducted UD's this is not enough all Ud's ,Deluxe buses operated in city must fix Emergency exit to safe guard the lives of passengers.

i think Erode has only one service in Bangalore route dandapani. That is Route no 837UD.Erode-Bangalore has very less services compared to Kum-Chennai, Chennai-Tirupathi, Chennai-Pondy(SETC) routes.
Yes. If im not wrong, it is operated by SETC Salem depot.i think Erode has only one service in Bangalore route dandapani. That is Route no 837UD.

+1.Prasai sir,
Lets stick to Buses info updates in this thread rather than RTO details. You can post this in an appropriate thread. May be Highways thread or a different thread.
Yes. If im not wrong, it is operated by SETC Salem depot.
yes. u are correct. as Erode has no SETC depot it depended on other depots. it is very unfortunate that as a corporation, fast developing city Erode dont have a SETC depot.
Same is the case with Tirupur. We have only 2 SETC depots in West TN. I.e., Coimbatore and Salem. We need one each in Ooty, Erode and Hosur. Tirupur can be served by Erode/Coimbatore.yes. u are correct. as Erode has no SETC depot it depended on other depots. it is very unfortunate that as a corporation, fast developing city Erode dont have a SETC depot.
Sure. I hope it'll be transfered to TNSTC, but no idea in amma's planSo many UDs being operated by SETC in Kumbakonam-Chennai route. As per TNSTC website, the distance is 283 KM. Whether all these will be transferred to TNSTC-Kumbakonam?
My question is,if u give volvo tey will write like tis on windshield. setc should try to follow some discipline :bash:
Instead of writing like this, they can better put up some route info stickers.. That will look good.Reno Ruberts R said:My question is,
Why we need unwanted writings (except operator name) over windshield?
The Implementation of DGL, Theni, VNR and KKDI Depot for SETC announced recently will solve the issue.Similarly Madurai depot handles more services towards Bangalore and Chennai from DGL, Theni, VNR, Ramanathapuram and Sivagangai districts. This is one of the largest depots we have for SETC. Better they can create one more depot which will help us in reducing the pressure on Madurai depot.
Closely located depots.
Trichy-Tanjore-Kumbakonam
Nagercoil-Kanyakumari-Marthandam-Trivandrum. Nellai is close to NGL.
a bus's windshield should contains operators name on the top. destination may right down the corner as board. aboard from that no need to write anything even route. route information also included on destination board. regarding this we should take KSRTC as example. This is just my opinion. My question is,
Why we need unwanted writings (except operator name) over windshield?
We can also add shenkottah depot to the list. Its around 75KM from Nellai. The Implementation of DGL, Theni, VNR and KKDI Depot for SETC announced recently will solve the issue.
TNV/TUTY/NGL/KKI/MTM/TVM are closely concentrated depots..as you said
We shall take KaSRTC as example and not APSRTC.a bus's windshield should contains operators name on the top. destination may right down the corner as board. aboard from that no need to write anything even route. route information also included on destination board. regarding this we should take KSRTC as example. This is just my opinion.
imagine route stickers, origin, destination stickers on the windshield of VOLVO
