It's a very elegant structure!

Where is it? Near to Centenario Stadium?
You know when it will be completed?

Fantasico !!!
It is a through back to the era when stadiums were built on a grand scale. Today you mainly see cookie cutter complexes with many functions but none of them done quite right.

Questions are pouring but he appears to have difficulties answering all of them. We need to secure more Uruguyan correspondents or guys from the same Spanish speaking countries could help us with it

the centenario stadium is in parque batlle, a neighbourhood of Montevideo, this stadium would be in the limit between the department of Montevideo and the department of Canelones (Metropolitan area of Montevideo).

the proyect is under aprovement.

According to what I've read, this stadium is just a proposal and is still under discussion at Canelones departament council. The club says they're working on it but they can't assure anything yet and it has even been said that this proposal is a strategy for the forthcoming club election.

Let's see what happens...

That is pretty. The bowl is kind of reminiscent of Toyota stadium, with the high arching sides that are square to the field, and lower curved ends, though the ends don't rise to the corners and the exterior is totally different. Really classy and clean lines through out. If it gets built this could be a benchmark for other mid sized stadiums to come.

Wow, this is a really nice stadium for Uruguay! The country really needs some fresh stadiums, especially for top clubs like penarol and nacional. Imagine this stadium being part of a joint Argentina / Uruguay world cup bid in 2026 or 2030 .

2030 for sure 1930, 2030, Estadio Centenario for the final, that would pretty much set it in stone if their stadiums are up to FIFA standards. Think 4-6 stadiums in Uruguay and 6-8 in Argentina it should be pretty doable.

I hope only that it is not a replacement for that monster of a stadium where the national team plays. Because this is nice, but that is some impressive stuff.

edit
this one I mean.
