I think that's the biggest pic I have ever seen posted in this forum hehe.

Looks very much like a Central Equity tower, I wonder if Span Group are the archteicts?

Gasp of horror!

That looks very similar - almost identical - to the new Festival Towers design

I've added this to ss.com
Also jayt, you said it was 110 Charlotte St, but the advert says 120 Charlotte St. 120 Charlotte is what devine owns.

I agree with Brisbane2. From what we can see it looks way too similar to Festival Tower.

Devine should be banned frome the CBD for wasting undeveloped sites on bland, cheap, boring designs.

wow this tower does look a lot like festival......and there so close together as well. theres so many towers going up in this area of the city its phenominal.

though i do like the amount of glass thats gone into the building.

maybe there was so much demand for festival they have decided to make it bigger and scrapped the origanal design for something better and this tower has just adapted festivals old design...

Hmmm, I was hoping for something taller than 45 storeys on this site. Maybe it is...pretty hard to tell with JAYT's scan, the overview of the skline might be designed to minimise it's impact...

And what's with Devine doing a "cut and paste" of Festival?
Oh well, without multiple renders we're probably all jumping the gun.

Thats OK.

I have to ask, why is it always that their in the chinese newspapers first? Also, are the chinese newspapers in Queensland the same as in Sydney? I ask because this picture would have been on the front cover of about 3 chinese newspapers (out of 4) and its a very big picture.

Glaringly hard to miss in the news agent.

Thanks Cul. That part of town is gonna be so crowded and dense with all those towers going up.

Makes me wonder why people buy there, I mean if they only knew that they are looking straight at other apartment blocks. They advertise river views but in that part of town 30 to 40 stories up isn't gonna get you much of a view anymore.

So it's going to be one of the cities tallest buildings? Hopefully it has a nice roof design.

actually he is right... asians are a major target for apartment buildings in Brisbane. for starters if there asian immigrants there more then used to living in a less spacious lifestlye and prefer to rather then having a yard to maintain.

also have a look at apartment buildings like barouque, which has a massive asian presence, there not going to be targets at brisbane buyers, more like buyers from over seas, predominantly the asia region

also i like the building ...its a good height...when built it should become equal for 8th tallest in Brisbane or if it were built now it would be tied for third position.

funnily enough the other building which it ties with is 111 George Street.

I guarantee it wont.

What a shame they didnt just buy the design for milennium tower, rebadge it and then subdivide all the units ? (ala llama => double density casino tower)

Sure the investors and residents could expect the same old shit, but atleast we'd have a worthwhile skyline contribution..

Where are those reactionary BCC planning laws when you need them? Oh right...David Devine's a very important man.

Another masterpiece.

Bahhh....what a shocker!! But, at least we know what to expect from Devine

Devine have stated before that the overseas student market is what they expect to lease most of their apartments
