Netherlands:

22 september 2008:

Euro 95 € 1,559 liter / $ 8.64 gallon
Euro 98 € 1,607 liter / $ 8.91 gallon
Diesel € 1,311 liter / $ 7.39 gallon
LPG € 0,724 liter / $ 4.02 gallon

Unmanned gas stations usually discount up to 10 eurocents, incidently more. Only motorway/freeway gas stations charge the full price.

Regular Gas: $ 1.4/liter - € 0,95/liter (R$ 2,52/liter)
Premium Gas: $ 2.00/liter - € 1,36/liter (R$ 3,60/liter)
Ethanol: $ 0.91/liter - € 0,62/liter (R$ 1,65/liter)
Bio-Diesel: $ 1.16/liter - € 0,79/liter (R$ 2,09/liter)
Diesel: $ 1.15/liter - € 0,78/liter (R$ 2,08/liter)
LPG: $ 0.90/m3 - € 0,61/m3 (R$ 1,62/m3)

I take the cheapest from 95 and diesel from Budapest:

95: 1.25 EUR(299 HUF)(1.83 USD)/l
Diesel: 1.26 EUR(303 HUF)(1.85 USD)/l
LPG: ~0,6 EUR(140-150 HUF)(0.85-0.91 USD)/l

98 is not sold,was redrawn some months ago.

the nearst gas station in my german village today:

92/95 in the morning:
1,379€
92/95 in the afternoon:
1,349€
92/95 in the evening:
1,439€

it changes way too fast, fortunately I fullfilled our car in the afternoon.

^^ Well, to get the equivalent US rating you have to subtract about 4 points from the European ratings, since the system is a little different. A 95 in Europe would be around 91-92 in the US and Canada.

But in general, we still have lower octane ratings here.

In Toronto right now, for 87 (~91 in Europe) octane (lowest available at most stations):

$1.15 CAD = $1.11 US = 0.75 Euro.
