What I love about...

A thread allowing people to sum what they love about certain Irish towns and cities. I'll start...

Love the friendliness of Belfast, despite 30 years of bitter conflict. Love the backdrop of the Cavehill. Love the industrial history. Love the area around the City Hall.

Love the grittiness of Dublin and the massive contrast imposed on the city by the Celtic Tiger. I particularly love the grittiness of the Liberties area. I can imagine that's what all of Dublin used to be like before the Celtic Tiger. Again I love the friendliness of real Dubliners.
