A very high quality map by me.

Green represents already built sections of both corridors. Red shows the planned sections. Southern one is the one most to the south and the eastern (obviously haha) one is more to the east. Construction will start in 2018/2019 and should be finished by 2020.

There are several more corridors planned, but I don't think we'll see them being realized anytime soon. :/

Went on a trip two weeks ago from Viļaka to Daugavpils (through Kārsava, Rēzekne and Aglona) and back.
We were pleasantly surprised by the good condition of the roads on the whole lenght of journey.
Here's two time-lapse videos from me.

State road A13 Rēzekne - Kārsava
European route E262

And regional road P45 Kārsava - Viļaka (near Baltinava)

6km stretch of repaved regional road P35 near Viļaka

Repaved part of P35 and the rest of the road to LV-RUS border through the small border town of Viļaka

Hi!
I've just seen on Openstreetmap a construction of a 2x2 road on a 20km stretch between Nīca and Rucava. Maybe someone knows more about it?

That is the recently reconstructed segment with no significant changes. However, the alignment remains the same as before, not like it is presented in the map.

Just FYI, the only 'big' road project that our government currently is working on, is Ķekava bypass, which is a private partnership project. After that, if it's successful of course, we might get more projects in the same model.

We are more concerned on how our roads will be financed after 2020, since there will be minimum funding from the EU.

Should I delete that "U/C" road from OSM?

Seems that Ukmergė is more important than Utena

Utena is a larger town, although Ukmergė is on more important crossroads

I think it's a nice idea to mark bypass on direction signs. Not a common practice in Baltics
