Thats right, buddy. But, atleast two 787s were stored outside AI's kalina hangars in mumbai for the duration of the grounding. The a/c in the pic could be one of them heading out on a test or re-positioning flight.
Cheers.

I know you explained about the ATC requirements. I'm just curious why the lower glass appears to be installed to look a lot smoother than the upper glass.

I guess my issue is with the mullions? Not sure that's the right word. They seem flush on the lower glass but not so much on the upper glass.

That was indeed the AI Boeing 787...all the 6 of them were parked at CSIA during the grounding.

BTW - CG bhai, any new phatooz of our terminal?

@ AD14 LOL
@ Sammy - lower section of the tower has a wider and larger curve, therefore more surface area plus the fact that . The top tower section, has a curve that is smaller bent, therefore more mullions. Also, the angle the pic is taken makes it look like the flat areas on the right and left side of the curve have more mullions.
Now add these to the angles . Lower section is inclined to the sky (therefore looks brighter under the sky reflection) and the top section is declined to the ground.

+1. Mumbai needs some serious cleanup.
Indians are great at keeping inside of their houses clean but will not think twice before dumping garbage on the road or roadside

Why? its due to Govnt and council corruption.. in general most of those new buildings are assests of the private sector or hotels.. has been going on for long time...

Airport is sorrounded by Dharavi so those areas are not that good, but yes we need a cleanliness drive in that area. Hopefully if dharavi redevelopment get's going that area will transform.

Do not wish to nitpick but Dharavi is nowhere near the airport.
