On my way to Changi I notice even Berjaya Air is now moved to Changi from Seletar. So it may require a Cabinet decision to re-open Seletar for civilian use.

Err, Seletar is still for civilian use. It has not been a military airport for quite some time. It is just that a lot of aerospace MRO companies and private jets using that area. Also, it is quite inaccessible.

Hey, why don't Malindo contact JetStar.
I read that JetStar has 10 A320 sitting in the Airbus base in France for the last 2 years because they couldn't get an operating license in HK.

Me thinks Malindo ia still trying to find their niche market in that they are willing to try anything now - by having both jets & turboprops with destinations all over the place and competing directly with AA, FY, MAS, etc.

Hope they find what they are looking for !!??

Hard to understand their logic of focusing on Indian subcontinent and letting go major trunk routes domestically (BKI, KCH, TWU, MYY)

Their role as I see it, is plugging demand under or not served by MH or AK. And it seems like India is that market.

Yes, but considering how volatile the Indian government is, the 5/20 rule may yet stay, which would confine I5 to domestic routes. As of now, the rule hasn't been lifted.
