No! I´ve noticed that you obviously have a thing for these kinds of buildings

Maybe a couple should be preserved to remind us of the past, and only the most "beatiful".

It's part of what makes us, us - and is as much about the beholder as the beheld.

Beautiful!

First of all, may I present you with my local tower block in Dudley - Butterfield Court (named after me of course ) From this tower block you can see as far as Wales on a clear day and it can be seen from miles around due to its elevated position!

This is my local cluster of tower blocks in Brierley Hill, West Midlands!

Then I fell asleep in her arms.
That was happiness then.

Congrats El Greco! It seems there is a mini tower block revolution starting on here all of a sudden.

here are a few examples of blocks in the Manchester area that ive collected from various threads from the Manc forum.
Note the abandoned blocks with giant banners draped over the smashed and broken windows during the 2002 Commonwealth Games, a feeble atempt to hide the city's shame. Still empty to this day.

Thanks for that little collection chasedwar! Great link to the Crescents in Hulme too - great birdseye views.

And yes El Greco, the Red Road flats in Glasgow are very impressive! I've seen them at a distance from the M8 going through the city which is an experience in its own right with all the tower blocks left right and centre. Apparently these are to be demolished at some point which will be a sad day for Glasgow's skyline, not so much for the residents perhaps!
