Wonder if its to do with No 7/8?
I think it might be to do with improvements to the junction at the lights .

I notice that east street arts has a campaign at the moment called 'a city less grey'. Leeds will develop a national reputation for greyness if it's not careful.

K2 and Tower North look grey there because of the lightning.

They normally look white.

Either way, a lot of people in Leeds are probably unaware either tower exists, let alone people from outside the city.

Absolutely. It amazes me how people never look up.

Sky Plaza is pretty hard to miss and looks grr8 all lit up at night , with better cladding it would look like a building maybe in Toronto or somewhere imo. There's still potential in the Whitehall Riverside site due to its waterfront location, and with a few more bridges and the old coal tunnel used as a pedestrian/cycle link link to Granary Wharf it could yet be made into an attractive public area.

this building looks pretty good imo

I believe that K2 is clad with a material that does actually change shade depending on the light.

Bricked up at either end I believe but as I understand it there is the facility for NR to access it to ensure it can be checked.

So runs from the bottom of Candle tower under the station to the river?
Presume it was to access mills etc along the river from the canal?
Would improve pedestrian access greatly if reopened and a bridge built over the river...

it was the Link to Whitehall Power Station ( the big chimney on the pic) from the Coal Wharf where the green flag offices are now

the bricked up arch is approx. below where the white van on the left is
