17 Mann Street Gosford

THE PALISADES
This unique development opportunity stands alone in Gosford's CBD. All apartments and Commercial areas will enjoy unimpeded water views across Brisbane Waters. Boasting easy walking access to the town centre and railway station a rare combination, located next to Gosford Police Station across the road from parkland and Gosford waterfront.

- DA approved with CC commencement. DA approved May 2013
- 2 separate towers
- Combined residential / Retail / Commercial
- Residential Comprising of 44 apartments. 39 x 3 bedroom 5 x 2 bedroom.
- Retail comprising of 140 m2 Ground floor fronting Mann Street.
- Commercial comprising of 1069m2 over 2 levels.
- Car parking provided for 79 vehicles (secured)
- Ready to build, DA and plans available on request.
Both of these sites are for sale at the moment so their future remains a bit uncertain. The first one doesn't specify a price but 17 Mann is listed at $4.5 million. It would be great to see them go ahead - this is exactly what Gosford needs.

Wow, how great would that be if they went ahead. They would revitalise the city like nothing else. I have heard that council are working on the premise that all da's should be approved unless something major is wrong. This is designed to stimulate construction rather then stop da's for trivial issues. Fingers crossed!!

p.s. anyone hear about whether those huge projects in the Entrance are any closer to actually starting construction.

Check out this as it has a few sites in Gosford that are potential development sites.
http://www.domain.com.au/Search/buy/...m=East+Gosford
OOPS that's for East Gosford, but it's easy enough to go to Gosford itself & there are several of the ads there anyway.

Council has to take some pretty drastic action as the nimby situation is like a cancer slowly killing the town. Major surgery needed on the planning system if the patient is to survive, doctor!

And I still have memories of the six cities plan in which Gosford was listed as one of the regional centres within Sydney & surrounds for major development. No follow through by the labor government in its final years nor has the Liberals bothered to take up the banter.

It's look to me like it was taken somewhere on the Wagstaffe peninsula. Great shot, love the colour of water.

Yeah- lul.

Gosfords over- its a true example of how nimby's killed a city. No-one in government cares anymore.

Only way to resurrect it, is by building something pretty damn fantastic.

^yeah there are big plans, and it starts next year. with arts cultural centre and foreshore area. also a 15storey hotel i think. but we need people to want gosford to work.it has potential plus. i paddle a ski from woy woys lions park yesterday to Gosford wharf (tiny beach infront of sailing club) and back. Gosfords bridbane water is awesome. I can imgaine a darling harbour like area with wharf bldgs and shop and restaurants. cafes etc. also they should build a new train bridge near where it meets the flyoer. just to create a new landmark or something.

From your keyboard to God's ear! I have several friends at Gosford & Pt Fred so I've got an indirect investment in seeing Gosford get its butt into gear though I fear it will be a hard slog. Such an opportunity, such a pity so many locals cannot see the benefit to themselves in such development.
Mind you, we are beset by such Canutes trying to halt the tide of progress here in Sydney and any of its suburbs where development is proposed.

Big news broken on 2GO today 10 million dollars is heading to The Mariners for the Centre Of Excellance. This will help make the Coast the home of Soccer in Australia.

Jeez! Who was the architect? Someone's wife's brother? The one with the small packet of Derwents.

Seriously, the money is a great boon, BUT there must be a better architect on the coast...?

Yes, it will, but it is still a crapulous design for the buildings. There are some great design examples for sports facilities around the world, so why shouldn't Gosford have some as it certainly needs sharpening up?
