I understand. With this kind of a clan (it no longer qualifies as a family) in Africa, conflicts of all sorts are preprogrammed. The most successful would be expected to provide materially for the 500 other clan members, who would lean back and enjoy life. Should he/she “fail” to plunder the state coffers in order to distribute the money to the rest of the clan, he/she would be regarded as a “traitor” who must be liquidated at all costs. Mobutu chose to heed the clan’s call and we know what happened to him and, above all, to the country…

Are you saying the road Kinshasa-Goma will be paved all the way? I thought the asphalt stopped in Kikwit?

That's my point... The link to the Route Nationale 1 topic shows an article of novembre 2011 stating that during the presidential campaing, Mr. Kabila promised to pave the segment Kikwit-Tshikapa-Kananga. I was born in Kinshasa so I knew that the pavement stops at Kikwit. An army needs asphalted roads to move equipment. Dirt roads are useless during the rainy season.
