Ok I was in Dubai for a visit and I saw this unfinished tower ... Dubai needs not to keep it like that .. hopefully it will be continued or something because it reminds Dubai everyday of its crisis.
I did some googling and saw this article posted a year ago and it seems contractors still didn't lose faith in it and will come back to finish it.

It's not going to get better anytime soon, I have been there before and have friends who have lived there for going on 5 years now. One is very high up on a project and the other is the construction manager. Their project/hotel has been pretty stagnant for the past 2 years and just recently they have been starting to slowly work again.

The issue is the people running it claim they now have money but can only release small portions at a time thus nothing is getting accomplished and what is, is at a snails pace. Project was supposed to be done 100% 2 years ago and is maybe 50%.

As for the Pent I would not be shocked to either see it sit like this or at some point get knocked down.

Thanks for the info man, it is cool to know what's happening and if I may ask you since it seems you are well informed about the situation there about Hard Rock Cafe, I know its off topic but they demolished it, do you have any idea what is going on there? cz I read online that it might be replaced by a high tower?
