Here is a photo page of random pictures of Cardiff that i have taken and will take.

Cardiff is the Capital city of Wales, one of the 4 countries that make up the UK.

It has an official population of 325,000 but over 1 million people live within 20 minutes of the city. Its a city with a large mix of modern and old, with a very compact city center, and is a very green city with large parks and a wonderful waterside.

2012 Olympic Games opening sporting events in the Millennium Stadium

For some reason the first events of the Olympic games were held in Cardiff rather than London. Was a great day even though it was just womens football. As expected the turnout in the 75,000 seater stadium was poor (around 30,000) but was the biggest audiance for womens football ever so not too bad! Whatever the action in the stadium, the city center had a great buzz and atmosphere with street performers, flags and celebrations around the center. The weather has been excellent the last week as well, and the media was everywhere.

Lloyd George Avenue, the main link betweent he city center and the bay
