Looked quite nice btw - slight similarties to Heron but I think it would have ruined the setting of LBT so I prefer the new mini shard were getting now.

Very nice, but the Shard would obviously look better on its own.

Any estimates on the height? Must have been at least 250m+ and that's not including the spire.

It's much too close to Shard, a couple of 200m buildings by Shard would be nice. As for this one, I really like the design, it would be better in CW to add some character.

Would suit somewhere like Stratford International but I'm glad we're getting the Baby Shard instead, this would have just ruined the setting of The Shard.

looks awful next to the shard, glad it was scuppered, like a tower block next to a church

It would have been very nice in Canary Wharf. I don't think it would be quite good enough on its own.

I don't mind seeing a cluster of low-rise modern buildings surrounding The Shard to replace what architectural disasters are currently there, and this includes the 1980s office blocks plaguing the river front, but what this goes to show is nothing really can compete in terms of style and elegance as The Shard, and because of this I'm opposed to creating a high rise cluster in this part of Southwark. I've always been dubious as to turning Southwark into a business district- it's narrow streets and high residential population does not warrant huge office blocks, and should be clustered within the City.

Further into Southwark, I think Palestra has been a bit of a disaster in terms of street level experience. I wouldn't mind so much high rises here, as long as they opened up street level and contributed to the urban framework by opening up the streets to the pedestrian and prevented wind swept plazas from being created. To this end, I would welcome tall, thin residential or mixed use towers, with plazas and green spaces at their base and cultural elements that responded to the locality.

I have a feeling though the success of Palestra in monetary terms will mean even more of Southwark's tiny historical streets sucked up by floorspace heavy groundscrapers, which is just plain stupid and wrong.

I agree - the Shard is truly in a league of its own.

I'd not want anything over 100m near LBT to tell the truth, it has to have that superior status being the tallest I feel.. if theres to be anything tall, it should remain in the cluster/ the wharf or elsewhere in another cluster..

This is an incredible design, shame it weren't somewhere else.. does look a bit too tall mind, but could of gone near Broadgate, lol.. Would of been ideal for the Wharf!

Would'nt surprise me if it did turn up in the City in some similar form.
Aren't KPF doing the design work on the tower thats due to go between Heron and Bishops gate Tower?
