I figure the shade over the shrine is not negotiable..heck even if that means at 11.30pm at night...you know how the Government is now...whatever is real means only what they said as a promise...so nothing will ever happen again...ever...maybe a barn with free sausages...in competition with Bunnings...not that there are any of those for miles and miles...

I don't mean to get u started at all Red.... but....
As Global warming becomes more of an issue in the decades to come,
you would think that this tower would cast late afternoon shade on all the
remaining old codgers, thereby providing respite from the searing summer sun!
It would be doing everyone a favour, and maybe the old codgers will then
pay thanks and homage to Crown in return for the Spartan shade provided.
Looks like a Wynne-Wynne situation. Thanks Red.

Thank goodness the area was developed when it was. Today we wouldn't get anything taller than four or five stories. Anything taller would ruin the low rise character of the streets, stand out like a sore thumb, be a permanent man made solar eclipse and generate tornadoes.

Also see in this pic that they have already built the podium of Aus108 and further along City rd the podiums of all the apartment blocks ready and waiting.QBH doesn't seem too worried...yet.
and ironically, see all the cars parked this side of City rd opposite where Aus108 will go...They are all BMW's..! amazing...

LMFAO at all this shadow talk ..

The fekken trees already cause more of a shadow before any sodding tower ever will .. Anyone think about that !?

I hope Schiavello / Crown include this fact in their proposal ...

I dont think these podium level renders from the Bates Smart website have been posted. www.batessmart.com/ Im not fussed about loosing the existing facade.

Im pretty sure those Bates Smart renders are way out of date theyre of the original 275m design before they bought the site next door and increased the setbacks and height.

I cert hope so anyway because that podium is a little underwhelming for such a major devlopment.

Yes, they are for the superseded design.

The top render is representative of a concave facade if you look closely, unlike the facade indicated on the more recent rendering posted by melburn21.

SOUTHBANK > Queensbridge Tower > 308m / 83L / residential & hotel / proposed

The skybridge is going to make it.
Isn't the whole Crown complex already a skybridge over Kingsway ?

This building looks to have a similar form to Crown Tower.

Not as attractive as the superseded design IMO.

The original design without the glass lift is better for sure.
