New UAE cabinet to take oath of office next week

Official sources have told Emirates Today that members of the new Cabinet will take their oath of office next week.

Sources have said that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who will head the new Cabinet, has included young leaders who have been highly successful over the past few years.

A number of well-qualified dignitaries who worked in the private sector for many years will join the Cabinet.

It will separate the Ministry of Education from the Ministry of Higher Education and also the Ministry of Labour will be separated from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

According to sources, there will be a new Ministry for Youth and Culture. There are strong indications that the Ministry of Information will be made redun dant and instead a supreme council or bureau will be formed.

Sources expect there will be many new names that will join the cabinet for the first time, especially in the health, justice and economy ministries.

This cabinet will be the seventh since 1971 and will include around 20–23 portfolios.

yeah, i saw this in Gulf News today. i believe that the UAE is about to enter a very exciting phase of social, economic and political development and success with its new ministers and FNC elections plus the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed. and i was really pleased to see that the Ministry of Information has been abolished . this will mean more freedom of expression right? but who will publications have to get their licenses from now?

so far, Dubai Media City used to give the licenses to all kind of publications except the daily political newspapers.

Now the license might go to the Foreign Ministry or they might form a media authority along with the media city.

Etisalat block websites due to orders from Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed the minister of the shut down ministry of Information and Culture.

Now he is the Foreign Minister and there is no more Ministry of Information, so what is going to happen to the blocked sites? Are there any chances that they might lift the ban on all blocked websites?

That was my point DarkBlueBoss

As far as I remember Abdulla Bin Zayed suggested unblocking all the websites but the people refused.

Ive read couple of days ago that the Emaar residents will have a proxy like the one we have when they lunch the new company.
