A beautiful building, but you know if this one slipped off the radar I wouldn't mind. It seemed a shame that superlatives should be piled up on top of eachother.......a damn shame really.

As has been mentioned, over and over, it was FWP error of judgement to build its actual tower right up against the boundary of its LARGE plot --- with a site next door that could easily be developed. If QBT gets up - I think its FWP that sits too close to QBT - not the other way around.

Yep, FWP is like my girlfriend when she goes to bed before me, basically sleeping right in the middle of the bed, and then complaining when i get in and sleep on my side and she reckons im in HER space!

Having said that though, i must admit now with Aus 108 looking all set to go, i could also live without too much disappointment now if for some reason QBH didnt go ahead.

This has got to be one of the best looking towers either proposed or already existing. I think it would be a shame if it never went ahead

In terms of design, this is vastly superior (in fact - not even comparable) to that Fender 108 ratshit. 388m or not, if I could choose between either of these two projects going ahead, I'd pick QBT. QBT's design is a great lesson in restraint that FKA could learn from - to contrast their mish mash of regurgitated ideas.

Fuck height - at the end of the day a good design always makes up for a 100 meter height difference.

Vastly superior blandness you mean. Seriously do you think QBT says anything at all? It would fit in any American city reminds me of Wells Fargo Plaza tower in Houston a really world renowned tower that one...

I honestly love both designs for vastly different reasons. Ok perhaps I don't exactly 'love' 108 but I get it. QBT I do love.
To have similar looking towers across our city would make for a very boring 'Edward Scissorhands' place to live or visit. Bring on the variety and with as much interesting quirkiness as possible I say

I agree, OBT is nice but its nothing memorable really.

Aus 108 is a unique deisgn, instantly recognisable and would never be confused for anything else.
