Ochre Yards Housing Development (former Greenesfield Railway Depot) | Gateshe...

Why-so we can get involved in endless "Birmingham/Liverpool/Leeds is the best" circular arguments while applauding vertical rabbit hutches built in Salfords ugly industrial wasteland? No thanks. It's also adversarial and often rude which is something this north east section gladly has never been.

The end of Bittern House nearest to Askew Rd (currently known as 'section C') will start to move in towards the end of May/start of June, the centre of the building ('B') will move in around June/July, and the end still completely surrounded in scaffolding (section 'A') will move in around the end of July/start of Aug.

Thanks for the above post Ken, it really shows the tremendous changes that are taking place in that area.

To facilitate ease of future access to that information and those photographs, I have added 'links' to that post to two specific areas of the INDEX . . .

1 - Under "A" (Aa-Ag) for "Aerial Photos".

2 - Under "C" (Co-Cz) for "Contrast - Photos Old and New / Then and Now"

As mentioned on earlier post due to tree growth there are no views into Newcastle - perhaps in a few months after the leaves fall

Even with autumn leaf drop views into Newcastle are restricted
