Some BEAUTIFUL images in here! Love the Melbourne shots Dean. Here's a few of my Melbourne shots. A couple of these are a bit more abstract, so I don't know if they "fit" the thread. Anyway:

When the ekka was on and I caught the train home with the fireworks it looks really good with the skyline as the background and the ferris wheel lights with the fireworks it looks like an important city having a big wheel in the skyline

Here is an old photo of Brisbane from a few years ago. See if you can list the missing buildings. Riparian is still under construction - that should give you some hints.

Still its a great shot - would love to see what it looks like now!

Man, how lucky are we to have so many great cities to choose from, especially for a country of only 20 million! I'm off to Brissy for work tomorrow, should bring a camera along to get some snaps. Melbourne also looks fantatstic at night, i love the view when walking along southbank, with the talls on the north bank rising up gradually as you head north, like a giant wall. Sydney too, has such a dense skyline, and amazing setting on the harbour, it looks awesome from almost any angle.

really good shot of brisbane there!! Riparian looks like its two buildings, a shorter in front of a tall one with the spire.

Here is a scan of a pic showing our Xmas tree here in Adelaide which was lit during the past weekend. The shot appears to be from last night and was in today's Advertiser. Picture by Brenton Edwards. Even Westpac now has the Xmas tree lighting which you can just see in the background and goes very well with the red 'W' at the top.
