My friend almaghrebi. As you may have noticed I am trying to reduce my contributions in french and trying in the other hand to use more english in order to make my contributions accessible to more members.
The forum is carelessly sliding toward a general forum with the same added value-less subjects about religion, atheism, etc. which should be secondary in such a forum (but which are carefuly driven and fueled by the same bunch of members).
I am modestly trying, at my level, to offset that trend.

This, if it can tell us something about Morocco and Moroccans, is that the society is facing a critical moment in its evolution.

The society is changing, and I have no clue how it'll be in 10 or 20 years, people should be careful and not be influenced by national media (most of them are pro-King/Government propaganda), or foreign ones (Middle East media propaganda and western one).

Morocco is not Arabia Saoudia or neither France, the Moroccan citizen is trying to find his identity, ours is so weak, or more precisely, it was awakened over time.
You can see this influence when people start reacting on narrow situations.

We have to get back to the source, read OUR history, to find who we are, then we can all find our way in peace.

Sorry for the off-subject, back to what made us all come to this forum

Morocco: Rabat Tramway Line to Be Extended

Saturday 24 January 2015

Rabat – A proposal to extend the Rabat tramway line to serve the neighborhoods of Hay Riyad and Hay El Fath is being finalized.

“We expect the signing of a financing agreement with the Ministries of Finance and Interior in the first quarter of 2015 if all conditions are met,” Lemghari-Hakim Essakel, director of the Agency for the Development of the Bourgereg Valley and the Society of Rabat Tramway was quoted by Le360 as saying.

The Rabat Tramway company wants to extend its service to a number of new places in the Moroccan capital, including New Sale, Moulay Smail and Oulad Moussa.

The new plans to extend the Tramway network to cover 20 kilometers will cost between MAD 170 and 210 million.

In addition to Rabat and Casablanca, studies are underway for the implementation of Tramway lines in the northern city of Tangiers.

The project is likely to connect neighborhoods with a high concentration of population and industrial areas in the city and its surroundings.

The studies are being carried out by the French company Wahlstrom, which is in charge of identifying the problems of transportation and traffic in the different parts of Tangier, as well as potential areas to connect with the tramway network.
