It is great to see the metro expanded in such a significant way. I visited in 1987 and it was not anywhere near this extensive.

You really have a beautiful city and country. I hope your people find peace, they deserve it.

Awesome stations. With a little luck and a few billion dollars, maybe Miami will get to have a few cool subway stations like that someday

Why don't any of the stations have elevators? It would seem that compared to the cost of mining out a whole station and boring tunnels for the escalators, the cost of boring one last shaft for at least one elevator wouldn't be any big deal...

Then again... at least they have escalators. Unlike, say, Chicago. When I went to Chicago, I thought I was going to die hauling my (70 pound) suitcase up and down multiple flights of (steep!) stairs to transfer from the blue line (airport) to the red line (to my hotel), and to get up to the street at the end. I didn't even think it was legal (post-ADA) to have subway stations like that in the US anymore...

A plan, a profile and a cross-section of a deep level pylon`s station. There is no possibility to add an elevator on most deep level stations.

Escalators are better than elevators as they carry much larger amount of ppl.

I think I actually like some of those stations more than the Moscow stations because they look a bit newer, cleaner, and brighter. However, I have to admit, they aren't quite as over the top either.

Very nice. That fast tram looks cool too. Something that big cities all over the world should think of. Reduce car traffic and use tram, light-rail, subways and trains. Electric cars too We need to protect our blue world.

Ukrainian made metro trains and buses.

These are the new metro trains that have just been put into use in Kyiv, Ukraine. They are fairly new, and were developed in Poltava, Ukraine by a Ukrainian company.

I liked them a lot.

As a bonus, you will get to see buses made in Lviv, Ukraine. I just copy and pasted from one of my posts in another thread.

The descriptions are from the company website.

This is the NeoLAZ. Electro-pneumatic brake system produced by Knorr-Bremse together with ABS and PBS ensures safe breaking in emergencies. Bus salon is equipped with state-of-the-art audio-video system, refrigerators, coffee maker, and toilet. Comfortable expendable seats, individual ventilation systems and climate control, and independent front suspension make the trip easy and nice.

CitiLAZ. LAZ - A183 City is a modern vehicle intended to large cities. Three doors and without step plates, it appears to be very comfortable for disabled persons, children, and the elderly. It is more economic because loading/unloading passengers requires less time than usually. The bus is produced of ecologically safe materials. Bus life time substantially extends due to aggregates produced by the leading European companies.

AirportLAZ, Low body floor, platform LAZ - AX183 “organically combines original design and advanced technologies, body strength and reliability of components and systems, easy and safe steering, and comfort for passengers and driver.

Long life of the body and engine (1,000,000 km), as well as external appearance of the bus allow operating LAZ - AX183“ throughout many years, thus fulfilling the task of transporting passengers and ensuring modern airport image.

Unfortunately small images.

LAZ, Liner-12. 47 seats are mounted in the bus; salon is equipped with shelves and individual lighting and air supply to each passenger. Volume of baggage compartment has been increased to 5.8 m3.

De Luxe version is equipped with air-conditioner, bar, cloakroom, audio and video systems. Such a reach set of equipment allows using the bus for official purposes.

Great thread. But subway trains are not put in use yet, they're just being tested

Looking for Yalta trolley-bus

Looking for the longest trolley-bus line in the world, the Yalta-Simferopol interurban trolley-bus line.
