A little link for anyone with a slight interest in Århus ( for what ever kinky reason that may be )

http://www.aarhus.dk/aa/portal/temae...hus_paa_toppen

And yes I know it's the wrong thread, but the links was hardly a hole private thread worthy.. so this seemed like the best place...

Not sure if this should be posted or not, but here we go...Carlsberg Ejendomme A/S and Braatens + Pedersen has hired NCC Construction to build a new shopping mall called Waterfront. It is to be located in the area Tuborg Syd, around Hellerup harbour, where NCC is already building close to 1500 apartments on the old Carlsberg lot. The project will be 16,000 m2 plus a 2 story parking basement. The project price is around 340 million DKK and it is expected to be ready in 2007...

Waterfront sounds good.

In my view, this is the perfect spot for a small but exclusive shopping center.

Here's the design propossal for the new SEB Bank at the corner of Bernstorffsgade and Kalvebod Brygge.
It's designed by Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects and is the first actual project
at the new Rigsarkiv area next to Kalvebod Brygge.
The plan allows for buildings up to 44 m, so I guess that's what this one will be.
That's the same height as Nykredit and the Marriott Hotel across the street.

That issue is allready solved.
The problem was that the area in question had the status commercial with an OPTIONAL percentage of residentials. They just changed that to ALL commercial. So the noise issues is no longer a problem.

Anyway, I agree with you all, that it look's pretty promissing. Could have been taller - as mentioned - but we could repeat that sentense for every project in this country, I guess...

I like it. Quite a take on what a modern bank should look like.

There's a long low building along one side of the site, but most of the area is a parking lot.

This is the place today:

The buildings in the background (The main post terminal) is not part of the site. Only the green area to the left and the lower building behind it is.

Another residential project in the Amerika Plads area soon to start construction.
It's called "Zinkhuset" and is located very close to the "Kobbertårnet", which can be seen in the left side of the rendering:
