Since the world trade center is finally under construction. I wanted to create this thread for photos and news about skyscrapersd and the memorial happening at ground zero. Please post photos of the site plan, and construction photos happening at the site. Hope you guys enjoy!!!!!! :)

It was made by NYgirl, who took pictures of all NY. there are 170 threads organized by neighborhoods of All New York City and its inner suburbs, it is very interesting.

For seeing NY skyline from Jersey City as well as the city itself you can see these threads (although there are 2 years old, so you wont see much of 1WTC, but it is interesting anyway)

Will the bigger floors take longer to construct?
probably, even though there are likely less pieces. The columns are larger, so therefore they will require more trucks to deliver than the lower floors. I am not sure, but i assume they could be permit loads. In any case, more unloading time should be offset by a smaller piececount.

I have no idea what they are averaging on this job, but the number is certainly falling as they get to the higher floors. The longer time to erect will be because the floorspace is tighter and the time to haul loads to the working floor takes longer at the greater height.
