No. They are rare, but a handful were imported in the 70´s by Renault itself for local production tests. It was sold in tha USA for some time and some were brought here too.
Design is french, but the scheme is polish. I guess it's an old plate from Warsaw voivodship (WAM 7964). Note the CD oval - I suppose it used to be some diplomat's car. With those old polish white-on-black plates thing like that happened - not often, but I used to see some with unusual font, french-like-style etc.
What about taking these cars to a graveyard?
In Belgium when there is such a car somewhere, it's towed away to a graveyard.
Anyway.
Here is a nice graveyard in Belgium. The oldest cars in this graveyard date back to WWII and where left there by Canadians during the WW. I think it looks like an abandonned highway

Unfortionatly the area is vandalised. Everthing is stolen from those vehicules. No license plates to be found anymore, every brand mark on the cars has been stripped of, even steering wheels have been stolen out of them...
