What an absolutley great thread and even better pictures texasboy. You can really tell Houston had alot of Southern roots back in the day lol. Did you post this in SSP's photo thread. I'd think they would like this.
That looks like an awesome neighborhood. Cool pics. You need to come to Atlanta and take some photo's of our city, we need a quality photographer like yourself.
My wife lived in that very apartment building in pic. no. 6--2021 Kane St.--back in the late 80's. Those apartments were a real hodgepodge of Houston humanity--old East Texas crackers, Koreans, Vietnamese, a Russian couple. I also remember going to that grocery to get beer and whatnot.
I have nevr seen this area in my life. I am guessing it it on the east side, which seems like a totally different world from the west side of Houston. Kind of like LA.
Billie Mercer is a woman, these images were stolen from her
These are beautiful photographs. The only problem they were made by someone other than the person posting them.
Do a google on Billie Mercer.
I do not understand why anyone would post images without given credit to the artist that made the images at least link to the web site you downloaded them from.
Texasboy has learned his lesson on finding other people's pics, i think.
