Agree. I'm hoping that 88 Scott will do the same although it would have been better before the design revision.

It occurred to me when I was in New York that Rockefeller Center must have been the inspiration for the Uptown:

Perhaps; almost any 1920s/1930s skyscraper for that matter. They all seemed to have those staggered set backs that add to their monumentality.

I think it was more the idea of right angles instead of the curves we normally associate with Deco buildings. Rockefeller Center steps back, but with no curves, and that is the way the Uptown did it, too.
