BD45m tower on the way
By SOMAN BABY

MANAMA: A new group of established businessmen has launched a BD45 million waterfront residential tower in Juffair.

The launch ceremony, held at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa last night, was attended by top government officials, leading businessmen and prospective investors.

The project is being implemented by The Developers company, which has been set up by a group of businessmen who have been involved in the construction industry for more than 30 years .

The Fontana Towers - A Walk in the Clouds, Juffair, facing the jet fountain, is the company's first project.

The seafront mega development has been designed by architectural and engineering consultancy group Aref Sadeq Design Consultants.

The project will feature 400 apartments along with four luxury duplex penthouses, in four interconnected towers, said The Developers project director Sandeep Chitre.

"The development value is estimated at $120 million and it will be the largest apartments building ever constructed in Juffair," he told the GDN.

Mr Chitre, an architect by profession, having 25 years of Gulf experience in the development field, said the project would be completed in 30 months.

"It will house freehold, fully equipped, luxury apartments, ranging from studios, one to three bedrooms and four state-of-the-art duplex penthouses with individual swimming pools," he said.

"Among the host of amenities are an exclusive health club for women, with a well-equipped and modern gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool and children's water park.

"There is also an outdoor pool with recreation and multipurpose hall, for the

use of both tenants and visitors."

The Fontana also offers 600 covered car parking spaces.

Real estate company Landmark Bahrain has been appointed the initial exclusive marketing and sales agent.

sounds good! looking forward to see some development on my next visit

but just a question; the main road seen on one of the pictures... will this be built this century? or do i understand wrongly 'facing the fountain' as it's between al-fateh and the bahrain specialist hospital?

they said since months this mainroad will be built, but nothing happened...

“The Fontana Towers” – Bahrain 2nd largest project. Sea front freehold residential apartments, Studios, 1, 2, 3, 4 bedrooms for Sale starting BD 36,000/- onwards and to be completed on Sept. ’09.
this tower in my opinion is the best value for money project in bahrain. the studios are valued at 36,000 which is very cheap, and the 4 bedroom apartments are around 100,000.

Adel you want an apartment buy here.

Yes they have started construction, and they are on the same road as Somerset Hotel and Sukoon. This road will be constructed before the end of 2008 and starts from the billboard on the traffic light all the way to the new Sh Khalifa bridge. This will be a new entrance for Juffair

Iconic towers shaping up

Fontana Towers, a prestigious $120 million freehold development located on the seafront in Juffair, continues to make impressive construction progress.

A symbol of luxury and modern living, the Fontana Towers comprise four iconic interconnected towers of 30-storeys housing 400 residential sky villas and exclusive penthouses with breathtaking sea views, located in the most desirable residential address, amidst the scenic waterfront of the district of Juffair.

The development is rapidly taking shape as construction has already reached the 15th floor and, with two floors being completed in a month, the project is scheduled to be completed by June 2010.

The Fontana towers is close to the international airport, shopping areas, hospitals, schools, dining destinations and the Marina corniche.

And its location is on a proposed highway which will link to the new Mina Salman bridge and the Al Fateh highway with easy access towards the Saudi Causeway making this development ideal for smart living and an intelligent investment.

Unit selections at the Fontana Towers include spacious and elegantly designed semi-furnished studios, one, two and three-bedroom sky villas with study rooms and exclusive penthouses with large terraces, private elevator and swimming pool.

Quality and attention to detail are the hallmark of the Fontana Towers. The advanced security features, large parking facility for 600 vehicles, the exclusive indoor swimming pool and wellness centre for ladies, a water sports area for children, Jacuzzis, communal wellness centres, outdoor swimming pool, saunas, steam rooms, mini-theatres, multipurpose function halls, children's play area, squash courts, indoor games rooms, business centres and well-designed lounge are just some of the features complementing Fontana's sumptuous comforts.

Landmark Bahrain director Mohammed Younis Shafi said: "Despite the global economic crisis, construction is in steady progress across our developments and sales are continuing. Buyers can still consider property as a solid investment.

"Owning an apartment at Fontana Towers is made easy through Landmark Bahrain's flexible payment structure with 10 per cent down payment, followed by five per cent quarterly instalments and 65 per cent upon completion, in addition to the availability of pre-approved mortgage facilities from commercial and Shariah-compliant financial institutions."

Does anyone know if this project is complete? The site phone number I used to contact is no longer working as well as the contractor's head office number. Thanks!
