Bucharest Metro

Got it Nup, harta e a mea.

Edit: Aparent nu pot sa schimb titlul threadului. Rog pe orice moderator sa faca asta.

Asa, revenind...
Urmeaza sa termin Unirea as soon as possible =P Enjoy!

M6 in sight!

M5 will see works next year and...surprise...there are money allocated for M6 feasibility studies:

Quote:
Bucharest Subway Co Metrorex To Spend Some RON55.4M On Studies For New Mainline

Bucharest subway company Metrorex will pay some 55.42 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2817), VAT not included, on pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for a new mainline to connect Unirii Square in central Bucharest to Rahova and Colentina neighborhoods, in southwestern and northeastern Bucharest.

The contract will be funded from the company's own revenues and will run for one year, of which, six months upon the signing of the contract for the pre-feasibility study and another six months after Metrorex approves the feasibility study. Construction works on the new mainline will take seven to eight years.

Metrorex will set up an auction in March 2010 and interested bidders are expected to submit offers until March 4. The contract will be assigned to the bidder with the most advantageous financial offer, with the price accounting for 52% and the technical offer accounting for 48%.

To partake in the auction, bidders must submit a participation guarantee of RON830,000 and certify they have obtained an average turnover of at least RON110 million over the past three years.

Bidders must also certify they have carried out similar projects over the past three years, including a project for the drafting of a feasibility study on a new subway mainline or underground railroad, in urban areas, stretching onto at least six kilometers.

The new subway mainline will connect with all other operating and future mainlines and the average distance between stops will be of maximum 800 meters.

there is naming problem there ...should be M7 instead of M5..?!

according with what was Cosmin saying here :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...55&postcount=9

Quote:
Future projects
• M5 line (Ghencea - Pantelimon) having two stages:

1. Stage I, between Ghencea and Universitate (9.8 km and 14 stations) - due 2014
2. Stage II, between Universitate and Pantelimon, with a brach to Gara Obor (8 km and 12 stations)

• M6 line to Aurel Vlaicu and Henri Coandă aiports in the North. The line would branch off M4 from 1 Mai station or M2 from either Piaţa Victoriei or Aurel Vlaicu stations (14 km and 14 stations) - due 2014
• Acquiring 37 train sets for the first segment of M5
• M7 line (Rahova – Colentina)
• M8 Southern Circle Line
• M4 Southern extension from Gara de Nord to Gara Progresul
• Building up to 23 new stations on existing lines in order to reduce the distance between stations, currently at 1.25 km on average
• Modernizing existing metro stations by building public toilets, improving static and dynamic means of information for the public and refurbishing the stations themselves
• Modernizing ventilation, sanitary, fire fighting and communication systems; upgrading train tracks

panamar, that's an older post from when it wasn't clear to me how Metrorex will designate the new lines. And it's still not written in stone since I've seen countless variations.

Rahova - Voluntari should be , but if they build towards Otopeni first then we could see it renamed to M6 with a possible color change.

The bottom line is that it's all pretty hazy when it comes to Metrorex's plans...

You can find two PDF maps on box.net. One has the existing lines, while the other has all the planned line (wetdream version).

http://www.box.net/shared/t9jb4rv7dx

Sorry, but they're not updated with the renamed stations and 780 express bus. When I upload the updated versions I'll post a notice here.

Btw... thank you, guys!

Eu as propune urmatoarea linie (cea mov), dupa ce va fi gata si in Drumul Taberei... Mi s-ar parea foarte utila. What do you think?
