Birmingham has a Tory Metro Mayor, Birmingham is a key battle ground at the next election. Meanwhile Momentum is plotting to clearout Blairist centrists in local government , Manchester being seen as to cosy to business and developers. A big battle is building up for when Richard Leese retires.

I notice several tram schemes seem to be falling into place recently. Centro needs to develop some sharp elbows and sieze the opportunity to get it's tram big bang programme. Forget sprint push for them to be all tram lines.

You'd expect Exchange 2 will set a precedent for the surrounding area wouldn't you. A 200m tower next door would herald a magical entrance into Birmingham via HS2. I don't think it's beyond the realms of fantasy

If we get the Commonwealth Games, id anticipate several new hotels proposed as there certainly aren’t enough in hotel rooms in Birmingham at present to cater for the need.

Good evening to you all. This is my first post and so please be a little patient.

My predictions are:
One Chamberlain Square to be completed earlier than expected and before 2018 closes.
Millennium to make a start with their new hotel so that they can close the Copthorne more quickly.
1 Arena Central to have found a tenant and construction to begin.
Demolishing work at New Garden Square to start and a funding partner found.
A Martineau Galleries masterplan to have been created.
Marks and Spencer to make an announcement regarding their store.
Moda construction to begin.
Black Country metro extension to begin earlier than expected.
Much progression regarding the cycling network in the West Midlands.
An announcement over the rolling stock for the Sprint routes.
A major 5 star hotel chain actively pursuing sites in the city centre.
