Looks like a lot of apartments are going up in Omaha. Is the Hyatt construction underway again after September's accident?

Thanks, I've noticed that eomaha and growomaha forums are down. One of them mentioned that a highrise mixed-use building was to have been announced in Dec. Any news on that ?

Hmm, I'm not sure. The only project in the works that fits that description is the Shamrock project, but that's probably not what is being referred to as that was announced way before Dec.

How about some updates?

Gavilon HQs

Hyatt Place

Old Federal Building

Work continues transforming the old Federal Building into a Residence Inn

Wilson & Washburn 1407 Harney
A new bar is opening near the Old Market. They stripped the facade off to restore the original, and found some history of an old extermination business:

UNMC
The University of Nebraska Medical Center skyline will continue to grow with plans of a new cancer research building.

The District
Progress still ongoing to add 3 floors to an existing building downtown.

The Highline
Work also continues to convert the old Natural Gas building into apartments.

Nice view.

"The Junction" (restoration of building in west downtown):

A block of buildings are getting restored in Midtown. Most of them used to have ugly paneling over the brick:

Looks like Omaha is healthy. I love the old reno buildings downtown. IF I lived near the "Reading Grounds + Sullivans Tap" building I would never have to leave my hood.

Hey Brad, hope it's okay that I've been using your photos.

Here's a better rendering of the apartment building under construction from above:
