I've always wondered about the toilet attendants to. Some of them are really intimidating, once in RSVP I was in the gents on my own and the attendant was doing all the stuff they do, turning on the taps, putting soap on my hands and then drying them etc. He got really moody when I refused to pay him, but why should I? I'd already paid shit loads for a drink and an entry fee.
I've also noticed they're all black (Same in Manchester aswell), but I've never mentioned it as its not 'PC'. I bet they aren't paying tax and N.I either, just keeping everything they make.
There are too many pretentious bars in Liverpool full of stuck up snobs wanting attention, and complete jobsworth staff. Its hard to find a middle ground with a good mix of people. I don't mind sharing a bar with scalls, snobs, students, oldies, the best pubs have a good mix, but I don't like being in a bar where theres only one type of person!
Where do people tend to go for a night out then?
