Gfx card?

What graphic-card and computers do you have when you play SC4?
I wonder just if anyone knows the ideal computer to play SC4 smoothly?
can someone do a list for me which computer components do give more power to this game?

ATI All-In-Wonder 7500 64 meg vid card. I run it at 1024x768 with some details high, some details low. Things like traffic i put low.

I'd have to say SC4 is more CPU and RAM dependant. Sure it needs a good vid card, but that mainly takes care of the details, but the CPU and RAM make the game play fast and not waiting 5 mins to load a map. Here's a thread a I posted about my own performance increases from going to a better CPU.

I just bought Rimm memories, 4x256mb for P4, 1066MHz, and maybe next week I will buy a new Gfx-card, but im not sure wich one, GeForce or Radeon?
Then im gonna buy a new 3.0MHz P4 processor, I think it its gonna be more speed then?

my config. is quite old.

PIII 800Mhz
512M x 133Mhz
Video Voodoo 3000 16M AGP

I play with every detail high and everything on, I just experince some lows when playing the big maps with 70% of the lots used, otherwise it runs perfectly.

some tips.

*Rush hour make the game run faster.
*update the game from www.simcity.com (for free and don't need to be registered).
*your PC BIOS should be configurated properly.
*you video card and Directx should be updated
*your OS should be installed properly
* stop anyother program (messengers, updates from any softwares, ....)

Man I just don't know how you guys have nice hardware and even so experience slow down when playing SC4.

Most of the time the problem is the updates, even the personnel who works with PC's don't care much whith updates.

PS. I'm a Computer Analyst.

i run in 1280x1024 on my radeon 9800 3.4ghz p4
It still runs a little slow now and then. I tried adding another 512mb of ram (to make 1gb) but it didn't help at all. So yeah, I dont know whats best for the game.
Is is opengl or direct3d?

my trusty machine...

Athlon XP barton 3200 overclocked to 3600level
1024mb Dual Channel PC3200
NVIDIA GEFORCE 6800GT Clocked to Ultra
250gb SATA DriveSpace
Sony Amp & 70watts/channel Speakers
15" TFT (want 17"...)

as you can see, i take my pc seriously . Next upgrade is to be 17" tft, then 3800 Athlon 64. My pc runs doom3 and basically anygame (including SC4) sweetly.
